The Rook
It can move as many squares as it wants to, but only in a vertical or horizontal way. It slides down Files and Rows but it can’t “jump” over pieces.
The Rook has a great power, and this power is only exceeded by that of the Queen. Thus, both pieces form the so called group of “MAJOR PIECES”.
